Lasers are utilized in microscopy applications across various industries. Microscopy Involves magnifying an image of an object by passing light through or reflecting light off it, and then examining this light through a single or multiple lenses. There are various types of microscopy, such as fluorescence microscopy and Super-Resolution Microscopy, which contain their own branches of this application, such as Confocal Microscopy or Stimulated Emission Depletion Microscopy (STED) respectively.
Our line of visible and pulsed fiber lasers have been used in various microscopy systems due to their excellent wavelength stability, narrow linewidth, and minimal maintenance turn-key operation. Our laser technology is so flexible, we are able to offer our customers virtually any wavelength within 465 nm up to 1950 nm.
Meet Dr. Andrew Barazia, Product Manager of the Lattice Lightsheet Microscope at Intelligent Imaging Innovations (3i). The 3i platform incorporates MPBC's 560 nm and 642 nm 2RU rack-mountable Visible Fiber Lasers into their Lattice Lightsheet Microscope for live cell imaging.
