A new generation of lasers – MPBC’s new products unveiled at Photonics West 2025
Photonics West once again brought together the global photonics community at the Moscone Center, where scientists, researchers, and industry experts gathered to explore the latest innovations—from biomedical research and quantum technologies to industrial lasers and beyond. As a longstanding exhibitor, we were proud to showcase our advanced fiber lasers and amplifiers, along with three new products.
Here’s a recap of the exciting new technologies we unveiled at the show!
Tunable 633 nm Single-Frequency Laser
One of the highlights at our booth was our breakthrough new 633 nm single-frequency laser, offering precise wavelength tunability via temperature or piezo control. Designed for applications that demand high stability and precision, this laser delivers a diffraction-limited beam with a narrow linewidth as low as 100 kHz. With up to 50 mW of output power, low phase and intensity noise, and exceptional beam quality, the 633 nm single-frequency laser is an excellent solution for metrology, semiconductor processing, and other high-precision applications.
532 nm Visible Mode-Locked Fiber Laser
Developed for a demanding fluorescence imaging experiment, our new 532 nm mode-locked fiber laser is engineered for exceptional stability in challenging environments. Featuring an all-fiber design, it delivers superior beam quality and an adjustable repetition rate from 30 to 100 MHz. With a picosecond pulse duration ranging from 15 to 70 ps and low-maintenance operation, this laser is well-suited for a variety of industrial and scientific applications.
Pulsed 695 nm Fiber Laser
Rounding out our new product lineup is the 695 nm pulsed fiber laser, designed with precision to meet specific customer needs. Operating at this unique wavelength, it offers up to 2 W of output power and an adjustable repetition rate between 40 and 100 MHz. Ideal for STED applications, this laser provides exceptional performance for high-resolution imaging and other advanced scientific uses.
In addition to unveiling these three new products, we also showcased live demos of our extensive range of fiber lasers. Visitors had the opportunity to see firsthand the performance of our continuous-wave visible fiber lasers, single-frequency fiber lasers, and pulsed fiber lasers, which are trusted for applications in microscopy, biomedical research, and imaging tools. We also highlighted our ground and space optical amplifiers, which demonstrated our diverse portfolio of a broad range of customized solutions.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth! We truly appreciate your interest and the engaging conversations. We're excited to continue the momentum and look forward to seeing you at Focus on Microscopy (FOM) 2025, taking place from April 13 to April 16, 2025, at the NTUH International Convention Centre in Taipei, Taiwan.
